Machine Maintenance Technician (1st Shift)

Location: Ashland, VA

Pay: $26 per hour

Schedule: 1st Shift \u007C Contract-to-Hire

Job Summary:

We're looking for a skilled Machine Maintenance Technician to support our production operations on the 1st shift. This role involves maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a variety of machine shop equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.

• Perform preventive maintenance and repair work on machine shop equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical systems.
• Work on CNC lathes, mills, saws, plasma burn tables, water jets, press brakes, and similar manual machines.
• Identify and order parts, install replacements, and verify equipment functionality.
• Maintain detailed maintenance records and adhere to all safety procedures.

• Hands-on experience maintaining and repairing industrial or manufacturing equipment.
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience in a large company or with a maintenance service provider preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Must be reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently.
