Burlington Veterinary Center is now accepting applications for an experienced Veterinary Assistant / Receptionist to join our team. We are looking for energetic, friendly individuals who are interested in developing their career in veterinary medicine and client service. BVC is a progressive, growing hospital and we pride ourselves on our care, medicine, teamwork, and client experience. Applicants must have strong communication skills, computer proficiency, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
This position will float between reception and clinical areas of the hospital, including assisting with wellness and sick appointments, obtaining histories, animal restraint, preparing exam rooms, and supporting doctors and technicians as needed. Front desk responsibilities include answering phones, scheduling appointments, checking clients in and out, handling payments, and providing exceptional client service. Client communication and customer service experience are an absolute must.
Applicants with prior veterinary assistant or reception experience are preferred. Skills including but not limited to patient handling, basic laboratory support, hospital cleanliness, and compassionate care for all patients are highly valued.
Strong teaching and communication skills are important, as you will help educate clients, answer questions, and support the medical team in delivering high-quality care. You will play a key role in maintaining a smooth workflow and positive experience for both clients and patients.
Applicants must be team-motivated, dependable, quick learners, self-starters, and able to pay strong attention to detail.
