Warehouse Associate

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Warehouse Specialist is responsible for various warehouse processes their main priority is put away of all finished goods and update an accurate receiving log. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to, pulling orders for shipping, pulling inventory for production schedules, stocking warehouse shelves, cycle counting as assigned and maintaining inventory location information. The Warehouse Specialist is expected to work with shipping, receiving and production to ensure all areas are being supported as required.

PRIMARY ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Put away of finished goods from Production
• Put away received materials form Trucks and Containers
• Pull work orders for production processes
• Pull shipping orders and prepare for shipment
• Maintain "first in – first out" inventory rotation
• Stock "prime" inventory locations
• Stock Kanban inventory locations for production department
• Put away "returned" from production inventory
• Record required data and information accurately for recordkeeping
• Maintain work area and general warehouse in an organized manor (5S)
• Carry out additional tasks as assigned

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Experience with hand trucks, pallet jacks and forklifts
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to complete assigned duties on time with minimal supervision
• (Preferred) Maintain forklift certification
• Ability to read, write and speak English
• Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money, weight measurements, and distance
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment
• Must have good organizational skills and a strong attention to detail
• Recognize continuous improvement processes and participate in improvement projects
• Safety minded at all times
• Demonstrate positive team-oriented behavior at all times
• Able to develop and maintain good working relationships with teammates

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

All work is in an environmentally controlled warehouse environment

• Will frequently lift and carry up to 40 pounds and will regularly lift and /or move up to 70lbs
• Will stand for long periods of time while reaching with hands and arms
• Will frequently lift, twist, reach and bend
• Will climb ladders on a daily basis
