Small Engine Repair Technician/Sales Associate

Join our team Associate will be responsible to repair and assemble items such as but not limited to; lawn mowers, blowers, weed whackers, generators, pressure washers, chain saws and other machines/items. Associate will additionally be working on the sales floor and required to make customer deliveries when there are no machines to be repaired or assembled. Training will be provided in sales floor knowledge, We are a Stihl authorized dealer, any knowledge of Stihl branded machines is a plus and associate completing the provided Stihl branded certification training is a requirement.

Qualifications/Responsibilities

Mechanical:

• 1-3 years of experience preferred. Must have small engine repair experience including but not limited to chainsaws, pole-saws, hedge-trimmers, grass trimmers, lawnmowers, pruners, snowblowers, and leaf-blowers.
• Increasing Revenue for the category. Assist with merchandising and maintaining product displays to maximize sales opportunities and enhance the overall store appearance.
• Actively sell units on the sales floor of the store whenever possible.
• Maintain inventory accuracy reporting any inconsistencies to the store management team.
• Ensure the shop area is always clean and safe.
• Provide product demonstrations and startups for customers and employees.
• Follow accepted safety practices while always servicing all units.
• Assemble all incoming units for sale.
• Usage of dollies, pallet jacks, merchandise carts and forklifts to be used as necessary to help the completion of your job.
• Ability to use a computer for parts inquiries, ordering, and receiving orders.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks with a high attention to detail.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, independently.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
• A valid Driver's License and good driving record to perform deliveries.

Physical Requirements

The minimum physical requirements for this position include:

• Move and handle boxes of merchandise and fixtures throughout the store.
• Ability to stand for an extended period.
  Assist customers with heavier items- - Must be able to lift and carry up to 60lbs as a part of regular duties. Must be able occasionally, with assistance, lift to 80lbs.
