Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Chief Engineer to lead our maintenance and engineering operations across manufacturing facilities. This pivotal role involves overseeing complex industrial systems, managing multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring optimal performance of all mechanical, electrical, and automation equipment. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise maintenance teams responsible for industrial equipment, HVAC systems, electrical infrastructure, and mechanical systems.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs utilizing Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to maximize equipment uptime.
- Oversee the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and repair of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, and automation systems.
- Manage high voltage and low voltage electrical systems, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and technical standards.
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic instruments to conduct electrical testing and troubleshooting.
- Coordinate projects related to facilities upgrades, machinery installation, or process improvements with cross-functional teams.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols by conducting regular inspections, risk assessments, and safety training sessions for staff.
- Maintain detailed documentation of maintenance activities, system schematics, work orders, and incident reports.
- Lead efforts in facilities management including HVAC system optimization, mechanical repairs, and industrial maintenance activities.
- Foster leadership within the team through supervising experience, mentorship, and performance management to cultivate a proactive maintenance culture.
Experience
- Proven management experience leading multidisciplinary maintenance or engineering teams in manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Extensive electrical experience with a strong understanding of high voltage and low voltage systems; familiarity with schematics is essential.
- Demonstrated expertise in industrial maintenance practices including troubleshooting using ohmmeters and other diagnostic tools.
- Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), automation systems, and manufacturing process controls.
- Knowledge of CMMS software for scheduling maintenance tasks and tracking asset performance.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to industrial machinery repair, HVAC systems, and facilities management.
- Project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple initiatives simultaneously while maintaining quality standards.
- Supervising experience that highlights leadership capabilities in fast-paced environments; excellent communication skills in English are required.
