Job Description

Computer Scientist III will support the FAA's Corporate Work Plan (CWP) and associated ABP-330 systems. We are seeking an experienced Oracle Middleware & WebLogic Engineer to support a mission-critical FAA enterprise environment. This role administers Oracle middleware platforms, manages complex application deployments, supports Red Hat Linux–based systems, and ensures the stability, performance, and security of enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Oracle WebLogic Server (12c) and middleware components
• Perform Oracle patching, security hardening, and version upgrades
• Install and configure software, middleware components, and Oracle databases
• Execute application deployments, troubleshoot failures, and manage rollbacks
• Monitor and optimize application performance, logs, and system health
• Support development, test, and production environments
• Support environments running on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
• Collaborate closely with development, database, and infrastructure teams
• Contribute to release management and DevOps automation

• Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems administration
• P6 EPPM administration
• OAS/OBIEE administration
• OPPM configuration and support
• Basic Oracle database administration
• SharePoint Online and SharePoint 2022 support
• Understanding of Citrix environments and load balancers
• SOA, P6, OPPM, and OAS domain configuration
• Automated deployments using CI/CD or DevOps tools

Preferred Background

Education

• Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline + 4 years experience
  or Master's degree + 2 years experience
