is hiring a skilled Accessibility Technician to help Maryland seniors and people with mobility challenges live independently at home.
The Impact
Your installations directly change lives - helping an 82-year-old sleep in her own bedroom again, enabling a veteran to safely enter his home, allowing families to bring loved ones home from hospitals instead of nursing facilities.
What You'll Do
- Install stairlifts, wheelchair ramps, grab bars, platform lifts, and bathroom accessibility equipment
- Conduct in-home evaluations and recommend solutions
- Create job layouts, material estimates, and custom installation plans
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and structural challenges
- Maintain inventory, tools, and company vehicle
- Provide compassionate service to clients and families
Must Haves
- Power tool proficiency and mechanical aptitude
- Technology comfort (tablet, smartphone, GPS, work software)
- Strong communication skills for working with seniors and families
- Physical ability: lift/tilt lbs, work in attics/crawl spaces
- Valid driver's license, clean record
- Pass background check and drug screening
Preferred Qualifications
- Construction, carpentry, electrical, or plumbing experience
- Licensed electrician, general contractor, or elevator technician
- Home improvement or remodeling background
- Customer-facing installation work
- Aging-in-place specialist certification (CAPS)
