Job Description:
This position is responsible for leading operations during their designated shift at
our raw material quartz location, as well as supervising plant operators, heavy
equipment operators, and maintenance personnel to ensure efficient production,
safety, and quality. The Supervisor will coordinate raw material processing, assist
with rail car logistics, and optimize shift output to meet production targets. They
will enforce safety standards and promote a safety-first work culture through
training and inspections. Key responsibilities include monitoring employees' use
of heavy equipment operation, facility and equipment maintenance, raw material
inventory control, and quality assurance, ensuring efficient, safe, and high-quality
production on their shift.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the shift operations of the quartz processing facility, ensuring
efficient and effective processing of raw materials.
- Monitor and achieve shift production targets while optimizing operational
processes for quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Coordinate with the supply chain and logistics teams to manage incoming
and outgoing shipments, including the loading and unloading of rail cars
during the shift.
- Supervise and direct plant operators, heavy equipment operators, and
maintenance staff on their shift.
- Implement and monitor preventive maintenance schedules to minimize
downtime and ensure all equipment is in top working order during the
shift.
- Coordinate with maintenance personnel for repairs and maintenance,
ensuring the facility is in compliance with safety standards.

- Promote a safety-first environment by enforcing all safety regulations,
conducting safety training, and ensuring compliance with OSHA and other
regulatory requirements.
- Investigate incidents or safety breaches and implement corrective actions
during their shift.
- Work closely with quality control teams to monitor product quality,
implement corrective actions, and ensure final products meet
specifications.
- Ensure that all rail operations are compliant with relevant regulations and
internal policies during the shift.
- Manage raw material inventory levels to ensure continuous production
without delays during the shift.
- Collaborate with other departments to forecast and fulfill customer
demand efficiently.
- Provide shift reports to the Processing Facility Manager.
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures, including cycle
counts and reconciliation, to ensure accurate inventory records.
- Utilize barcode scanning systems to track and manage inventory
movement, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in receiving, storage, and
shipping processes.
Qualifications and Skills:
- 3+ years of experience in facility leadership or processing plant operations,
ideally within the mining or materials processing industry.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to improving
operational efficiency and safety.
- Knowledge of safety standards, and best practices in industrial facilities.
- Mechanically inclined.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate with
all levels of operations personnel.
- Ability to read and write in English, bilingual in Spanish preferred
- Ability to acquire and retain all necessary safety certifications
Minimum Requirements:
Education: Associate's Degree or equivalent related experience
Experience: 3 years of experience managing operations of a production or
manufacturing facility
Systems: Oracle, CMMS system

Physical Requirements:
- Lift up to 60 lbs.
- Push/pull 100 lbs.
- Stand on feet for long periods of time during a shift for up to 12 hours, with
intermittent breaks

- Participate in daily stretch and flex exercises
- Work in an outdoor environment in all weather conditions
- Walk up and down steps multiple times throughout shift
- Bend over multiple times throughout shift

Cambria's starting salary range for this position is $75,000 - $95,000. Salary ranges are
determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects

the target for new hires for the position. Individual pay is determined by several factors,
including work location, job-related experience, and relevant education and/or training.
