Children's Pastor

Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Children's Pastor to lead and nurture the spiritual growth of children within our church. This vital role involves creating engaging, age-appropriate programs that foster a love for Christ, while providing mentorship, support, and guidance to young hearts and minds. The Children's Pastor/Director will serve as a spiritual leader, inspiring children to develop their faith and encouraging families to participate actively in their spiritual journey. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of children and their families through dynamic teaching, compassionate counseling, and vibrant event planning.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement creative, biblically-based curriculum tailored for various children's age groups to promote spiritual growth and understanding.
• Lead engaging Sunday school classes, and special events that foster community, learning, and fun.
• Work with the leadership team to organize and oversee family-focused events, outreach activities, and community service projects that encourage family involvement and strengthen faith connections.
• Mentor children through one-on-one relationships, offering guidance, encouragement, and conflict management when needed.
• Collaborate with parents, church staff, and volunteers to create a nurturing environment that promotes healthy spiritual development.
• Lead public speaking engagements and presentations during church services or community events to share messages of hope, faith, and love with children and families.

Requirements

• Proven experience in teaching or ministry with children in a faith-based setting; experience in Christian counseling is highly desirable.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate volunteers, staff, and children alike.
• Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—to effectively convey biblical principles in an engaging manner.
• Ability to plan events efficiently while managing multiple responsibilities with attention to detail.
• Demonstrated proficiency in public speaking and presentation skills suitable for young audiences.
• Knowledge of conflict management techniques combined with the ability to handle sensitive situations with grace.
