Position Overview
The Service Advisor plays a critical role in delivering an exceptional customer experience. This position serves as the primary point of contact between customers and the service department, ensuring clear communication, accurate service recommendations, and a seamless repair process from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver prompt, courteous, and professional service to every customer
- Take ownership of the full customer experience, ensuring each visit leaves a positive and lasting impression
- Provide concierge-level support for customer inquiries, both in person and over the phone
- Clearly explain vehicle concerns, recommended services, warranties, and repairs
- Maintain customer satisfaction and Customer Happiness scores at or above company standards
- Assist in diagnosing vehicle concerns and coordinate parts and tool orders as needed
- Schedule work and assign tasks to service department personnel
- Reinforce company policies and uphold AutoStar standards and procedures
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and manufacturer guidelines
- Maintain strong working relationships with manufacturer representatives
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and professional work environment
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Service Advisor / Service Writer in a franchise dealership or automotive service shop
- Organized, customer-focused, and friendly demeanor
- Proven ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated history of service and sales success
- Track record of positive customer satisfaction results
- Ability to lead, support, and collaborate with team members
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to pass a background check
