Position Overview
Internera is seeking a highly organized and motivated Human Resources Intern to oversee the full onboarding process for all interns joining the company. This role is the first point of contact for new team members and ensures a smooth and professional hiring and training experience. Because stability is important to our long-term client commitments, this role requires a minimum one-year commitment.
Responsibilities
Recruiting & Interviews
- Manage job postings on Handshake and other platforms.
- Review applications and screen candidates.
- Conduct one round of interviews with all applicants.
- Select qualified candidates based on standardized criteria.
Onboarding & HR Administration
- Process all onboarding paperwork and collect required documents.
- Maintain accurate and confidential personnel files.
- Set up new interns in all required systems (Google Workspace, Slack, calendars, project tools).
- Run orientation sessions that cover policies, expectations, and procedures.
- Ensure all tasks on the onboarding checklist are completed before training begins.
Training Coordination
- Assign required training videos and departmental materials.
- Track completion and follow up with interns on deadlines.
- Maintain an organized onboarding and training tracker.
Policy & Compliance Support
- Update and maintain HR templates, job descriptions, SOPs, and onboarding resources.
- Assist with scheduling check-ins and evaluations.
- Support entry-level HR projects as needed.
Weekly Reporting
- Submit weekly updates summarizing:
- Applicants
- Interview outcomes
- Onboarding status
- Training progress
Qualifications
- Must be able to commit for at least one full year.
- Majoring in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, Organizational Leadership, or a related field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Organized and attentive to detail.
- Able to maintain confidentiality and follow established systems.
- Comfortable interviewing applicants and guiding new team members.

Pay: $ $15.00 per hour
