Job Summary:
Ensure the safety of our guest, team members and property during scheduled shifts. Document activities during shift including property inspections and physical/verbal interactions with persons. Assist co-workers and guests as needed. Give exceptional guest service.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure an environment in which high standards of customer service and quality exist for our guests.
- Inspect all areas of the property including parking lots, stairwells, basements, beach area, kitchens, public space, lighting and guest corridors.
- Deliver items to guest rooms when requested.
- Respond to situations including noise complaints, disputes and unauthorized persons with the goal of de-escalation of the situation with a win-win goal.
- Work with supervisor and/or local authorities to trespass persons when the situation is the only recourse.
- Arrange furniture and clean spills or debris as needed.
- Perform maintenance tasks, when possible, to satisfy the guest or prevent a room move or improve safety conditions.
- Remove trash and soiled linens from guest rooms as directed.
- Delivery rollaway beds and cribs to guest rooms ensuring they are clean and sanitized.
- Report any maintenance or safety deficiencies in a timely manner if they cannot be immediately rectified.
- Comply with all safety requirements of the job and company policies.
- Respond to guest and co-worker requests with 10 minutes of the call.
- Communicate effectively and professionally in person and over the radio.
- Electronically document property inspections and interactions with copies to key managers and file
- Make coffee in the morning and set up the Early Riser coffee station by 6am daily
- Put the needs of the customer first while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Acknowledge all guests and co-workers within 15 feet and speak to them within 5 feet.
- Dress professionally in designated uniform and name tag at all times when on property.

Necessary Skills and Attributes:
Excellent verbal, comprehension, listening and problem-solving ability.
Guest and co-worker relations.
Ability to multi-task and set priorities.
Formal Education:
High School Graduate or equivalent. Experience: 1 year hotel security or similar industry
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly to sit, stand, bend, walk, use ladders, push carts. Use of hands to finger or feel objects, tools or controls, lift boxes, bags and supplies, lift weight up to 50 pounds. Talk, hear and have vision abilities to be able to see dirt, hair and other debris. Ability to work outdoors in a variety of conditions including cold, heat and rain.
