Distribution Engineer/Designer

LineWorks Engineering - is seeking an experienced Mid-Level Distribution Design Technician or Engineer for our Tampa, Florida office. The Mid-Level Distribution Design Technician or Engineer will work closely with LineWorks' team of distribution engineers, other design technicians and field technicians and will utilize various in-house and client-based software applications to design and develop utility construction packages. This position requires GTechnology (GIS) and PoleForeman proficiency, customer interaction and advanced knowledge of electric utility distribution systems.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma/GED required (Designer) or Bachelors degree from an ABET accredited engineering program (Engineer)
• Minimum of 3 years experience in the Utility/Distribution Design industry
• Proficient in GTechnology(GIS), WorkPro and PoleForeman
• Experience working in field conditions a plus
• Ability to maintain a professional demeanor and relationship with clients and customers
• Excellent organizational and computer skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients, contractors and customers
• Maintaining a clean driving record at all times is required
• Pre-employment drug screening, background check and valid drivers license

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop utility distribution designs based on field data, project specifications and client requirements
• Utilize client industry software like WorkPro , GIS and PoleForeman
• Review distribution designs and ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety codes
• Visit job sites to determine if there are any safety concerns and share information with the client and construction team
• Operate a company vehicle and maintain a safe and clean driving record
• Maintain appointment calendar and schedule customer appointments and client meetings
