Sourcing Manager (2185)

The Sourcing Manager would be responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies to procure materials and services for modular construction projects, focusing on cost optimization, quality, and timely delivery. Key duties include identifying and vetting suppliers, potential vendors, negotiating vendor and sub-contractor contracts, building strong supplier relationships, conducting market research, and managing inventory and risks. The role requires strong negotiation skills and cross-functional collaboration with teams like operations and finance to ensure supply chain efficiency and support project objectives. 

Key responsibilities

• Strategy and planning:  Develop and implement sourcing strategies for both local and regional suppliers to support demand.
• Supplier management:  Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers and sub-contractors based on quality, cost, compliance, and delivery performance. Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key vendors.
• Negotiation and cost control:  Lead negotiations for favorable pricing and terms on materials, components, and services. Analyze costs and forecast expenses to drive cost-saving initiatives.
• Contract and compliance:  Negotiate and administer contracts, ensuring legal compliance and adherence to company policies and requirements.
• Operational support:  Work with internal teams (e.g., engineering, operations, project management) to ensure materials are available when needed and to help resolve supply chain & sub-contractor issues.

Qualifications and skills

• Education:  Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field is a plus.
• Experience:  Proven experience as a Sourcing Manager, with specific experience in the modular, construction, or manufacturing sectors a plus.
• Skills:
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency in sourcing software and supply chain management principles.
  • Analytical skills for market research, cost analysis, and risk assessment.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
