Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Infant Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for infants, supporting their developmental milestones through engaging activities and attentive caregiving. This role requires a strong understanding of childhood development, classroom management, and experience working with young children, including infants and toddlers. The Infant Teacher will collaborate with parents and team members to promote a positive learning experience that fosters growth and curiosity in our youngest learners.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development in infants.
  • Provide attentive care, including feeding, diapering, and comforting infants as needed.
  • Monitor and document each child's developmental progress and communicate effectively with parents about their child's growth and needs.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Engage infants in sensory activities, playtime, and early learning experiences that support their curiosity and exploration.
  • Support positive behavior management strategies to encourage appropriate social interactions among children.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistency in caregiving practices and curriculum implementation.
  • Follow all licensing regulations and company policies related to infant care and safety standards.

Experience
*

  • Experience with classroom management, behavior management techniques, and caregiving routines such as feeding and diapering is highly desirable.
  • Certification in First Aid and CPR
  • Experience working w/ children with disabilities or special needs is a plus.
  • Background in special education or experience caring for children with special needs will be considered an asset.
  • Utilizes developmental screening tools to determine individual needs of children.
  • Implements active supervision of children at all times and ensures child safety.
  • Teach children in large groups, small groups, and individually. Teach each class daily as scheduled and assigned.
  • implement TSG curriculum, serving as educational leader, and modeling excellent teaching practices.

  • Completes regular assessments of each child's learning in Teaching Strategies GOLD.

  • Participates in Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSP)
  • Maintains a comprehensive and ongoing education PROFILE ON TSG, CHILDPLUS AND BRIGHT WHEEL DATABASE including weekly observations in each area, ASQ'S
  • Maintains a safe and healthy classroom environment. Assures that classroom equipment, furniture, materials, and supplies are properly maintained and stored.
  • follow-up on daily child health checks & TEMPERATURES
  • assists students in toileting.
  • Maintains confidentiality of child and family information at all times.
  • Represents Early Learning Program in a professional manner to parents, visitors, community members and Partners
  • Executes continuous quality improvement (CQI) iters/ecers

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $ $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
