STEAM Instructor

Job description:

We're looking for energetic, enthusiastic, and reliable After-School STEAM Instructors to lead fun, hands-on classes for elementary and middle school students. This is a contractor role perfect for anyone who enjoys teaching, loves technology, and wants flexible part-time work.

Schedules:

Programs run Monday–Friday, between 2:00–5:00 PM, and most classes are 1 hour long. Contractors are free to choose the days, locations, and subjects that match their availability.

Who We Are:

MakeInspires is a leading STEAM education provider, based in the New York Metro Area, serving schools, libraries, community centers, nonprofits, recreation departments, and private organizations across the NY Metro area. We deliver engaging programs in Robotics, Coding, 3D Printing, Engineering, Digital Media, and more, all supported by creative and passionate instructors and makers.

We currently partner with 70+ schools and operate our own makerspaces in Mamaroneck, Chappaqua, Darien, Brooklyn, and the Upper East Side. Opportunities are available in all locations and surrounding schools.

Program Structure:

Most after-school sessions run for 6–12+ weeks (typically 10 class sessions). Instructors can also take on weekday private lessons, and weekend opportunities are available for private lessons and birthday parties.

Most classes run for 1 hour, usually from 3:15-4:15, but opportunities vary from school to school.

• Strong interest in STEAM topics (no prior experience required-we can provide training)
• Professional, dependable, and punctual
• Able to commit to a full session once assigned to a class
• People who are willing to commute to different schools
