Transportation Aide/CNA/Activity Assistant

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Transportation Aide/CNA to join our team at Matlock Place. This vital role ensures that residents are transported safely and comfortably to and from medical appointments, therapy sessions, and other activities, supporting their overall well-being and independence. If you are dedicated to providing excellent service and have a caring attitude, we encourage you to apply. This person will also assist in activities when not doing transportation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist residents with boarding and disembarking from transportation vehicles in a safe and respectful manner

- Ensure residents are comfortably secured and properly positioned during transit

- Maintain cleanliness and safety of transportation equipment and vehicles

- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents or injuries

- Communicate effectively with residents, staff, and healthcare providers regarding transportation schedules and needs

- Document transportation activities accurately and promptly in accordance with facility policies

- Support residents with mobility aids and other assistive devices as needed

Skills and Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Prior experience in a healthcare or transportation setting preferred

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to assist residents with mobility and personal care needs

- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record

- Knowledge of safety procedures and infection control practices

- Compassionate, patient, and respectful attitude towards residents

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
