Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a friendly and professional first impression.
• Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all details are correct.
• Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness.
• Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities.
• Manage tables effectively by coordinating with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery.
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties, while balancing registers at shift end.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of menu items, including ingredients, preparation methods, and wine or beverage pairings.
• Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are consistently met by adhering to proper food handling procedures.
• Assist with bussing tables, cleaning dining areas, and resetting tables for new guests.
• Provide excellent guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction.
• Utilize reservation systems such as OpenTable to manage bookings efficiently.
• Support team members during busy periods by assisting with food preparation or other restaurant duties as needed.
• Uphold all health regulations related to sanitation, food safety, and kitchen cleanliness to ensure a safe environment for everyone.

Requirements

• Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours.
• Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining genuine guest interactions.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices in the food industry.
• Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and transaction processing.
• Experience with serving in high-volume settings such as nightclubs or upscale restaurants is desirable.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as required by the restaurant schedule.
• Good physical stamina for standing long periods, carrying trays, and moving quickly around the dining area.
