Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, chopping, and measuring to support meal assembly and cooking processes
• Assist in cooking and food presentation under the supervision of chefs or kitchen managers
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, ensuring compliance with food safety standards
• Handle food safely by following proper storage, handling, and sanitation procedures
• Support menu planning by preparing ingredients according to specified recipes and portion sizes
• Assist with catering events and special meal preparations as needed
• Ensure all food handling practices meet health regulations and quality standards

Skills

• Experience working in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, including knife skills and meal assembly
• Familiarity with food safety protocols, including proper storage, sanitation, and handling procedures
• Previous restaurant or kitchen experience demonstrating proficiency in cooking and food service operations
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Knowledge of menu planning, food industry standards, and catering processes
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members and supporting service staff
