We are looking for an experienced and passionate educators to join our team. The ideal candidate for this position will have a background teaching or tutoring all sections of SAT or ACT and passion for helping students reach their full potential.

Job description

TPAPT is searching for full-time, remote, experienced ACT/SAT tutors to join one of our local chapters. Immediate assignments are likely.

• Please apply only if you can tutor all four sections of the ACT (Math, Science, English, Reading).
• All tutoring is done from your home, using our unique digital whiteboard environment in which you and your student are both on camera and microphone working off of our PDF resources together.
• Responsibilities will mainly involve: tutoring ACT students according to our personalized curriculum, sending detailed homework assignments, writing detailed progress reports to parents once a week.
• Hours you would be working: Saturday or/and Sunday 11am-5pm US Central Time.

Requirements:

• Intrinsic passion for helping students achieve their highest potential.
• ACT composite score of 30 or higher (we can give you a practice test to complete if you don't have your official score handy).
• A strong, reliable internet connection and reasonably professional setting in which to tutor on camera.
• ACT tutoring expertise is required, shown by an ability to guide students to the answer without doing the work for them, teaching accurate information, letting students make mistakes etc.
• Caring and empathetic interest in students as people.
• Deep commitment to the client—diligent, responsible, communicative.

Compensation:

• $30-$40/hr commensurate
• Paid training with curriculum provided
• Score increase bonus
