Forklift Operator

Position Summary: Loads machine centers with raw materials.

Essential Functions:

• Loads raw materials at designated machine centers.
• Staging roll stock at machine center
• Taking finished product from machine center to next operation
• Keeps forklift in good, safe operating condition by daily check off of inspection report; reports any maintenance needs to maintenance.
• Staging pallets
• Operates aerator and stages sheets at machine center
• Observes and conforms to all company rules and regulations as outlined in the "employee handbook."
• Initiate action to prevent problems, document quality problems, contribute solutions to problems, verify implementation of solutions and control further processing when a problem is identified.
• Respect and conform to all accepted safe work practices and standards.
• Attend on going in-house quality education classes.

Other Responsibilities:

• Perform other duties as required.
• Ensures work area is clean and organized.

Education and Experience Required: Speak, read and write English. 4 years or more of forklift and clamp forklift experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment.

Skills And Physical Requirements: Must have good hand to eye coordination. Must be able to sit and drive forklift for long periods. Must have the ability to work well with others in a team environment, and to work well under pressure to meet tight deadlines. Must be willing and able to obtain forklift certification.
