Job DetailsJob Location: SPC ORL - Orlando, FL 32805Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: 4 Year DegreeJob Category: ConstructionPainting/Coatings/Waterproofing company currently seeking a Project Manager with experience in the Painting/Coatings/Waterproofing industry. The Project Manager will be responsible for bidding, estimating, and costing of projects. Must be able to perform estimates by calculating statistical data, material price lists, labor costs, and equipment costs and applying them to the complete scope of work.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
• Review and evaluate requests for estimates
• Create bid lists including subcontractors and suppliers
• Confirm bidding intentions, subcontractor capabilities, and references; perform takeoffs and pricing as needed
• Work with project coordination staff prior to and on bid day to confirm all bids are submitted and scopes are confirmed for accuracy and coverage
• Set up final project budgets to proceed with project setup and contract issuance
• Provide conceptual estimates based on specifications, drawings, quantities, and other preliminary data
• Contact, meet with, and follow up with prospective clients
• Develop and maintain resource information on products, vendors, subcontractors, government requirements, etc.
• Attend departmental meetings as required
• Perform other related duties as needed
QualificationsKey Abilities:
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and other documentation associated with project estimation
• Ability to accurately perform upper-level math, including formulas and calculations
• Strong communication skills with employees, subcontractors, suppliers, engineers, owners, developers, and clients
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
• Ability to gather and analyze information effectively
• Ability to adapt to changes, delays, or unexpected events while meeting project demands
• Adherence to safety and security procedures and proper use of equipment and materials
• Ability to ensure all deadlines are met on time
• Computer-savvy with exceptional knowledge of standard operating programs and industry-specific software
