Founding Engineer

We're building an AI system that autonomously runs staffing and shift operations for small businesses. This is a zero-to-one company, not a resume line. We're looking for a founding engineer who wants real ownership and is excited to build fast, learn fast, and iterate with users.

What you'll do

• Build and ship core product features end-to-end (backend, APIs, integrations, light frontend).

• Work closely with the CEO and product lead to turn messy problems into working software.

• Help design and implement AI-driven workflows (LLMs, automation, heuristics).

• Talk to users when needed and adapt the product based on real feedback.

• Own systems in production, not just prototypes.

What we're looking for

• Strong SWE fundamentals (you can design systems, not just prompt an LLM).

• Experience with full-stack development (or strong backend with willingness to touch frontend).

• Comfortable moving fast, making tradeoffs, and working with incomplete information.

• Curious, open-minded, and collaborative — not dismissive or cynical about early ideas.

• Entrepreneurial mindset: you care about outcomes, not titles.

Nice to have (not required)

• Experience with AI/LLMs, automation, or agentic systems.

• Startup, hackathon, or side-project background.

• Interest in owning meaningful equity and growing with the company.

Logistics

• Very early stage (pre-incorporation / pre-funding).

• Part-time to start (we're all students), with intent to go full-time if things work.

• Meaningful equity, real responsibility, and real influence over direction.
