Direct Support Professional

A Direct Support Professional provides personalized care and supervision of residents assigned to him/her. Direct Support Professional serves as a universal worker performing different tasks to promote Consumers well being and satisfaction through support in daily living activities. Direct Support Professionals are primarily involved in creating a caring and supportive environment for all residents and promote individual satisfaction.

Direct Support Professional attends ALL Staff meetings and training's as directed.

The shifts for are facilities are as follows:

• Monday through Friday 6am to 2pm, 2pm to 10pm, 3pm to 11pm, and 10pm to 6am.
• Saturdays and Sundays 6am to 2pm, 8am to 4pm, 2pm to 10pm, 3:30pm to 11:30pm, and 10pm to 6am.

Our Company's New Hire Pre-Employment process is as follows:

• Fingerprint Clearance
• Physical, TB Test, and Drug Test
• New Hire Training
• 40 Hours of Training at the Facility in which they become employed at

Every potential New Hire begins as a on-call staff member for at least the first three months of employment. An on-call employee does not have assigned shifts and are called on an as needed bases, and are called to cover various shifts depending on the potential new hire's availability.

Duties:

• Reading, writing, and carrying out directions
• Charting or taking notes for others to review
• Providing companionship and supportive listening
• Reporting changes in the health or status of the client
• Responding to emergency situations
• Administering medication
• Transporting client to appointments
• Facilitating community and recreational outings, including transport
• Providing support with hobbies, studies, and social activities
