Job Duties:

  • Purchaser for HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical equipment and parts.
  • Reviewing and updating as needed, inventory records.
  • Obtaining product information, pricing and quotations, and other purchasing information as requested by internal customers.
  • Processing valid purchase requisitions, creating purchase orders, placing orders with vendors, expediting orders, processing returns, and communicating appropriate information regarding these activities to the customers.
  • Responsible for verifying the accuracy of all prices, quantities, and purchase unit when placing orders with vendors.
  • Adjust and maintain appropriate storage space requirements to maximize utilization of resources and maintain efficient supply locator system.
  • Monitor and verify the goods out process.
  • Check and count inventory.
  • Prioritize the flow of goods leaving the warehouse.
  • Monitor and register outbound data into the warehouse management system.
  • Assist in designing the framework route plan.
  • Optimize the framework route plan each day based on the number of pallets ordered.
  • Carry out various cleaning tasks within the warehouse.
  • Prepare reports that accurately reflect the outbound of goods.
  • Support warehouse inventory processes.
  • Individual jobs that arise out of operational necessity, as instructed by supervisor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Keep performance data in the General Funds Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) current.
  • Receive and submit Demand Maintenance Order (DMO) requests.
  • Will provide DMO status to customers as required.
  • Creation of supply purchase requests in GFEBS, coordinating purchase requests, and issuing/receiving maintenance supplies for the facilities maintenance warehouse.
  • Focus on facilities maintenance workflow control duties to provide mission critical support by performing facilities maintenance supply warehouse logistics and data entry support necessary to keep related data in GFEBS up to date.
  • Performing daily warehouse inventory control and QA/QC of supply chain procedures within GFEBS and the inventory control system.
  • Coordinating with facilities maintenance call center staff to assist with creation and processing of maintenance and supply requests.
  • Coordinating with facilities maintenance shop staff on their needs by processing incoming and outgoing supplies including reception, unpacking, confirm quantities match invoice, filling supply orders, and appropriately stocking in the warehouse per the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).

Qualifications:

  • United States Citizenship required for security clearance.
  • Minimum of high school diploma or GED certificate.
  • Minimum of one (1) years of FMS experience required or equivalent
  • Minimum of one (1) year industrial or commercial maintenance experience.
  • Minimum of one (1) year public works, utilities maintenance, or facilities maintenance work reception experience. Must exercise knowledge of facilities maintenance shop operations
  • Experience in survey and documentation of commercial or industrial HVAC and electrical equipment including chillers, cooling towers, air handling units, condensers, roof top units, boilers, and air compressors.
  • Professional customer service skills and excellent oral and written communication skills are required
  • Ability to create basic and intermediate data spreadsheets and FMS reports.
  • Basic and intermediate knowledge of FMS data entry, function, and reporting.
  • Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with co-workers, DPW staff, and customers.
  • Ability to read and interpret equipment and building related specifications, O&M documentation.
  • Proficiency working with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of management and customer interface skills are required.
  • Problem solving and innovative resolution ability and the ability to be a highly effective team member are required.
