GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB

From coordinating subcontractors to ensuring quality and safety on-site, you'll lead each project with accountability, precision, and pride. You'll represent the Stancil brand on the ground every day — solving problems in real time, fostering collaboration, and ensuring every jobsite reflects our core values of integrity, craftsmanship, and care. 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES 

This is a mid-level Superintendent role designated for individuals with experience running jobs independently but not yet responsible for mentoring other Superintendents or managing multiple projects concurrently. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS  

  • Project Leadership & Execution 
  • Oversee all field operations from mobilization through close-out, ensuring progress aligns with schedule, budget, and quality goals. 
  • Conduct daily site walks to verify production, safety compliance, and quality control. 
  • Manage site logistics, labor, equipment, and subcontractors for optimal workflow. 
  • Coordinate with the Field Operations Manager to forecast needs, monitor costs, and track milestones. 
  • Safety & Quality Assurance 
  • Enforce Stancil's safety program and OSHA standards, conducting daily and weekly safety meetings. 
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free site that reflects company professionalism. 
  • Proactively identify and resolve potential safety or quality issues, escalating concerns with recommended solutions to the Field Operations Manager and Market Manager. 
  • Ensure all work meets or exceeds Stancil's craftsmanship standards and project specifications. 
  • Communication & Close-Out 
  • Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for builders, clients, and field representatives. 
  • Lead weekly coordination meetings to address trade sequencing, scheduling conflicts, and scope alignment. 
  • Document daily reports, safety toolbox talks, and site photos. 
  • Oversee project close-out activities including inspections, punch lists, and trade partner sign-offs. 
  • Foster strong collaboration among office staff, field teams, and subcontractors. 
  • Other related duties as assigned. 
Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING 

  • Minimum 3 years of construction site supervision; experience on multi-family projects preferred. 
  • Strong technical knowledge of paint and drywall trades. 
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or equivalent field experience. 
  • Proficient in Procore and Bolt and Bluebeam. 
  • OSHA-certified with a proactive, safety-first mindset. 
  • Valid driver's license and insurable under company policy. 
  • Willingness to travel across the Carolinas as needed.

  • Maintain zero safety violations and ensure 100% job site compliance with Stancil safety protocols. 
  • Deliver projects on time and within budget while meeting quality and client satisfaction benchmarks. 
  • Demonstrate consistent, proactive communication with internal teams and clients. 
  • Uphold Stancil's reputation for professionalism, craftsmanship, and integrity. 
  • Exhibit leadership that motivates teams, resolves conflicts effectively, and drives accountability. 
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation across all project stages. 

WORKING ENVIRONMENT AND CONDITIONS 

  • Position is primarily field-based and requires regular presence on active construction sites. 
  • Frequently walk multi-story buildings, climb stairs, and lift up to 50 pounds as needed. 
  • Maintain excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with strong attention to detail. 
  • Manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. 
  • Work both independently and collaboratively with clients, subcontractors, and Stancil teams. 
  • Ensure every project meets Stancil's standards for quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT 

  • Use of computer, smartphone, CRM platforms, forecasting software, Microsoft Office Suite, and presentation tools is required.  
  • Familiarity with field-based project-management technology is expected.
