Online ESL Tutor

JBE Tutoring is a private in-home tutoring business serving students of all ages, from K–adults, across all academic areas.

We are currently looking to recruit experienced online ESL tutors with a background in teaching ESL students one-on-one, specifically children in grades K–6 (with an empahsis on the younger side; k-4) living abroad (Mediterranean region) and in the USA.

Tutoring Schedule:
Sessions will primarily take place during the morning / early afternoon (Eastern Time), with occasional afternoon sessions EST for students based in the USA.

Requirements:

• ESL teaching experience, including the ability to teach creatively with young students. Bonus if you also can teach ELA students and have a teaching certificate.
• Hold an ESL certificate
• Ability to create independent lesson plans
• Access to a device with reliable Wi-Fi for online teaching
• English proficiency at a native level
• Ability to engage students using diverse materials, visuals, and activities in online lessons
• Legally authorized to work in the USA (citizen, green card holder, or valid work permit). Work permits are not provided.

Additional Information:

• Candidates must provide at least two references before hiring
• Tutors will be hired as independent contractors and paid monthly
• Tutors must reside in the USA and be legally authorized to work there
• Tutors will be required to undergo background checks

Compensation:

• Pay: $25–$30 per hour
