Lead Educator

Lead Early Childhood Educator

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Lead Educator to guide a classroom of young learners and support their growth in a nurturing, engaging environment. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about early childhood development and ready to take on a leadership position within the classroom.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver developmentally appropriate lesson plans that support children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth.
• Create and maintain a classroom environment that is safe, organized, welcoming, and engaging.
• Foster positive, respectful relationships with children, families, and team members.
• Supervise and mentor classroom staff, including scheduling and daily classroom leadership.
• Encourage creativity, exploration, and independence through hands-on learning experiences.
• Maintain a clean, visually appealing classroom that reflects children's interests and learning.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with coworkers and parents.
• Ensure compliance with all licensing, safety, and training requirements.

Preferred Experience & Skills

• College coursework or a degree in Early Childhood Education or a closely related discipline.
• Prior experience working with young children in an educational or childcare setting.
• Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
• Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently while collaborating with a team.
• Creative, caring, and committed to making a positive impact in children's lives.

Required Qualifications

• Must successfully complete the Department of Human Services Applicant Background Study.
• Proof of U.S. citizenship or authorization to work in the United States.
• Must meet Department of Human Services Rule 3 qualifications.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to maintain certification).
• Completion of required annual in-service training.
• Ability to meet physical job requirements, including lifting up to 50 pounds and responding appropriately during emergency situations.

Work Location: In-person (not a remote position)

Pay: $ $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40.0 per week
