If these characteristics sound like you, then launching your healthcare career as an Administrative Assistant at Zak Dental may be a great fit for you
As the Administrative Assistant you will be the first in-person point of contact (i.e. first impression) for our dental patients. After warmly greeting all patients who walk into our practice with a smile you will assist them with checking in for their appointment and completing some administrative steps prior to the start of their treatment. You will also schedule patients for future appointments In addition you will be cross trained in some basic clinical duties. Ultimately this role is a stepping stone for anyone who wants to build either an administrative or clinical career in the dental healthcare space.
Below are the Main Duties of an Administrative Assistant:
- Greeting and checking patients for their appointment
- Ensuring all patient documentation such as consent forms, medical releases, health histories are current and complete prior to start of treatment
- Answering patients' questions about their current or future appointments, in person and over the phone
- Escalating patients concerns to other team members when necessary
- Scheduling patients for treatment for our multi-specialty providers
- Collecting co-payments
- Ensuring the office is clean and tidy during operating hours.
- Turning over rooms per our infection control protocols and seating patients in operatories
- Safely sterilizing/processing dental instruments
- Cross-training for records.
Requirements:
- High school diploma (GED)
Preferred but not required
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- 1 Year experience in administrative assisting
- Dental Experience or Certifications
- Associates or Bachelors Degree
