Summary/Objective
Design, build, and test control systems for superconducting particle accelerators and periphery equipment with an emphasis on robust designs that can operate long-term in a challenging production environment.
Essential Functions
- Possesses general knowledge of various hardware and software used in the control of manufacturing processes and equipment.
- Applies understanding of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Ladder Logic, and Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI) to design, modify or improve control systems.
- Performs work of moderate complexity involving incumbent's plan and carry out the assignments in conformance with accepted policies and practices.
- Typically adheres to instructions, policies, precedents, and guidelines in exercising judgment to resolve commonly encountered work problems.

Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, electrical, manufacturing, or mechanical engineering preferred.
- 2-4 years of experience in a related field.

Physical Demands
The position operates in a professional office and industrial environments which includes the use of standard office equipment and/or machinery related to the production of medical isotopes.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to pounds.
