The position involves constant movement throughout the warehouse, including significant walking, standing, and regular lifting of items weighing up to 40 lbs. Responsibilities:
- Locate and retrieve specific items from warehouse storage locations based on order lists or electronic pick tickets.
- Verify the accuracy of picked items against order requirements.
- Inspect items for any damage or defects prior to staging for packing.
- Ensure picked items are handled carefully to prevent damage.
- Operate RF scanning devices to track picked items and update inventory systems.
- Maintain an organized and clean workspace.
- Adhere to all company safety guidelines and protocols, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Report any stock discrepancies or issues to the supervisor immediately.
- Meet established productivity goals for order picking efficiency.
- Participate in inventory counts as needed.
- Perform duties requiring consistent walking and frequent lifting.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in order picking or warehouse operations is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret pick lists and product labels accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Capacity to work efficiently in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to strictly follow safety procedures and wear required PPE.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and perform frequent lifting of up to 40 lbs.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively in a team.
