In this essential role, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently fulfilling customer orders by picking items from warehouse shelves and packing them securely for shipment. Your attention to detail will be key to ensuring that customers receive the correct products in excellent condition. This position is fundamental to our logistics chain, ensuring smooth operations and high customer satisfaction. You will work in a fast-paced environment, utilizing warehouse equipment and adhering to strict safety guidelines. We are committed to providing a safe workplace, and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required at all times. This role involves considerable physical activity, including walking, standing, and frequent lifting of items up to 40 lbs. The ideal candidate is reliable, possesses a strong work ethic, and enjoys being part of a team that contributes to successful order fulfillment. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves according to order lists.
- Inspect picked items for quality and damage.
- Pack orders securely and efficiently using appropriate packaging materials.
- Label packages correctly for shipment.
- Operate hand-held scanners and other warehouse equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and use required PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts as needed.
- Meet picking and packing performance standards.
- Communicate any issues with orders or inventory to supervisors.
- Perform tasks requiring regular lifting of products.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a picker/packer or in a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret order sheets accurately.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to follow safety guidelines and wear mandatory PPE.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods.
- Capability for frequent lifting, up to 40 lbs.
- Team player with good communication skills.
