We are seeking a reliable Material Handler to join our operations in Provo, Utah. This position is fundamental to the efficient flow of materials within our warehouse. The Material Handler will be responsible for safely moving, organizing, and tracking inventory, utilizing various material handling equipment. Responsibilities:
- Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, safely and proficiently.
- Load and unload materials from delivery vehicles and internal transport.
- Transport raw materials, components, and finished goods to designated areas.
- Verify the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory levels through proper storage and record-keeping.
- Ensure materials are properly labeled and stored according to company standards.
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on equipment.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and procedures, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Participate in inventory counts and stocktaking activities.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or material discrepancies to supervision.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a Material Handler role or similar warehouse position.
- Experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment is required.
- Ability to perform regular physical tasks, including lifting up to 60 pounds.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and basic logistics principles.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety protocols.
- Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Must be punctual and maintain a consistent work schedule.
- Willingness to wear and utilize required PPE.
Working Conditions:
The Material Handler role involves significant physical exertion, including prolonged standing, walking, and operating machinery. Work may occur in various warehouse conditions. Safety is paramount, and compliance with all safety guidelines and the use of required PPE are essential for a secure and productive experience in our logistics facility.
