We are seeking a diligent Shipping & Receiving Associate for our Raleigh, North Carolina location. This role is vital for ensuring the timely and accurate processing of all incoming and outgoing shipments. You will be responsible for verifying shipments against purchase orders, preparing goods for shipment, loading and unloading trucks, and maintaining accurate shipping and receiving records. This position requires a proactive approach and the ability to work efficiently in a dynamic environment. You will be an essential part of our Logistics operations, contributing to overall warehouse productivity. Our commitment to Safety means providing a secure and well-equipped workspace.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and log all incoming shipments.
- Verify accuracy of outgoing shipments against orders and prepare documentation.
- Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Maintain accurate records of all shipping and receiving activities.
- Organize and maintain the shipping and receiving dock area.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Communicate effectively with carriers and internal departments.
Requirements:
Ability to handle tasks involving regular Lifting of items up to 50 pounds. Experience in shipping, receiving, or a related Logistics role. Strong organizational and time management skills. Knowledge of shipping documentation and procedures. Must be able to stand, walk, and move for extended periods. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. A strong commitment to workplace Safety. High school diploma or equivalent required. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
