This role is physically active, requiring extended periods of standing, walking, bending, and performing regular lifting . Responsibilities:
- Accurately locate and retrieve items from warehouse shelves based on order tickets or scanning devices.
- Verify item numbers and quantities against order requirements.
- Report any discrepancies or stock issues encountered during picking.
- Transport picked items to the packing or staging area efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures diligently.
- Properly use all required PPE at all times.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed, such as stocking or cycle counting.
- Meet or exceed productivity targets for order picking.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding workload and issues.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a similar warehouse role is a significant advantage.
- Ability to read and interpret pick lists and product labels accurately.
- Excellent attention to detail and focus on accuracy.
- Physical capacity to stand, walk, and move continuously throughout the shift.
- Ability to perform frequent lifting of products up to 40 lbs.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Commitment to adhering to all safety standards and procedures.
