We are hiring an Order Picker to join our dedicated logistics team in Des Moines, Iowa. This position is fundamental to our warehouse operations, focusing on the accurate and timely retrieval of products to fulfill customer orders. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for reading order manifests, navigating the warehouse efficiently to locate specific items, and confirming the correct product and quantity before moving them to the packing station. You will work in a fast-paced environment, requiring agility, accuracy, and a strong sense of responsibility. Maintaining an organized workspace and adhering to all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE, is essential. The role involves considerable physical activity, including standing for extended periods, walking, and frequent lifting of items up to 40 pounds. Your role is crucial in ensuring our customers receive their orders correctly and on time. Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately identify and pick products based on order tickets.
- Verify item details and quantities before proceeding.
- Transport picked items to the designated staging or packing area.
- Maintain awareness of inventory locations and stock levels.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE.
- Keep work areas tidy and organized.
- Meet established picking quotas and accuracy standards.
- Communicate any issues or discrepancies to supervisors.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as assigned.
- Support the broader logistics flow of the facility.
