We are seeking an experienced and motivated Warehouse Supervisor to lead our team in San Diego, California. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and accuracy in all logistics processes. You will manage a team of warehouse staff, provide training, delegate tasks, and ensure productivity targets are met. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of warehouse management systems and safety protocols. You will play a critical role in optimizing inventory control, managing receiving and shipping operations, and maintaining a safe working environment. Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the warehouse team.
- Ensure efficient receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping of goods.
- Implement and enforce all safety regulations and procedures, ensuring proper use of PPE.
- Train and mentor warehouse staff, providing guidance and feedback.
- Monitor inventory levels and implement stock control measures.
- Optimize warehouse layout and workflow for maximum efficiency.
- Manage equipment maintenance schedules and ensure proper functionality.
- Address and resolve operational issues and employee concerns promptly.
- Conduct regular safety audits and promote a culture of safety awareness.
- Maintain accurate records and generate performance reports.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a warehouse supervisory or leadership role.
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse operations, logistics, and supply chain management.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and experience implementing safety programs.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs when necessary.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and ensuring the correct use of PPE.
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed.
