We are seeking efficient and detail-oriented Picker/Packers for our San Antonio, Texas facility. This role is critical to our logistics operations, ensuring that customer orders are accurately fulfilled and dispatched promptly. As a Picker/Packer, your responsibilities will include accurately locating items on warehouse shelves, carefully picking them, and then packing them securely for shipment. Exceptional attention to detail is essential to guarantee order accuracy and minimize errors. Working in a dynamic, fast-paced setting, you will contribute directly to customer satisfaction and the smooth flow of goods. Our commitment to safety means that the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is strictly enforced. This position involves considerable physical exertion, including prolonged standing, walking, and frequent lifting of items up to 40 lbs. Responsibilities:
- Accurately select items from warehouse locations based on order tickets.
- Inspect picked items for quality and any damages before packing.
- Pack orders with appropriate materials to ensure product safety during transit.
- Label packages correctly for shipping and ensure all required documentation is attached.
- Utilize warehouse technology, such as RF scanners, to manage and track orders.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Strictly adhere to all company safety policies and wear mandatory PPE.
- Participate in inventory counts and assist with stock management as needed.
- Meet or exceed established performance metrics for picking and packing speed and accuracy.
- Communicate any order discrepancies or inventory issues to the supervisor promptly.
- Engage in regular physical activity including frequent lifting throughout the shift.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a picking/packing role or warehouse environment is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret order forms and product labels accurately.
- High level of attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Capacity to perform effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
- Willingness to comply with all safety regulations and the mandatory use of PPE.
- Must be physically capable of standing, walking, and performing repetitive tasks, including regular lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
