We are looking for a skilled Inventory Control Specialist to join our warehouse operations in Virginia Beach, Virginia. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the accuracy of our inventory system. This includes conducting regular audits, investigating discrepancies, implementing process improvements, and ensuring optimal stock levels. You will work closely with our Logistics and operational teams to support efficient inventory flow and minimize losses. This position requires a detail-oriented mindset, strong analytical skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. We are dedicated to maintaining a safe and productive environment for all employees.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of inventory control.
- Conduct frequent and accurate cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve all inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Analyze inventory data and identify trends or potential issues.
- Develop and implement procedures to improve inventory accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaborate with the Logistics and warehouse teams on inventory management strategies.
- Ensure compliance with all company Safety standards and protocols.
- Properly use and maintain warehouse equipment and ensure team members use required PPE.
- Maintain accurate inventory records within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Report on inventory status and metrics to management.
Requirements:
Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or in a similar role. Ability to perform tasks involving moderate Lifting. In-depth knowledge of inventory management principles and best practices. Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other Logistics software. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Excellent attention to detail. Commitment to maintaining a high level of workplace Safety. High school diploma required; degree in a related field is a plus. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
