Job Summary:
We are hiring an experienced Forklift Operator to join our busy warehouse in Houston, Texas. This role is critical for the efficient movement and storage of goods within our facility. You will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and effectively to support our logistics operations. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, skilled in forklift operation, and dedicated to maintaining high productivity standards.
Responsibilities:
  • Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, electric, propane) safely and efficiently to move, stack, load, and unload materials.
  • Inspect forklift equipment before and after use, reporting any issues or damage.
  • Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing of loads.
  • Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse, including storage racks and production lines.
  • Assist with inventory management tasks, including put-away, replenishment, and cycle counting.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all Safety protocols.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures related to warehouse operations and logistics.
  • Properly use and maintain required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Identify and report any safety hazards or unsafe conditions to supervisors.
  • Collaborate with warehouse team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely order fulfillment.
  • Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Forklift Operator certification or license.
  • Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse environment.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse Safety procedures and best practices.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent Lifting and bending.
  • Excellent attention to detail and awareness of surroundings.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
  • Commitment to wearing all required PPE and adhering to Safety regulations.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
