We are looking for a skilled Warehouse Coordinator to manage and oversee all aspects of our San Antonio, Texas distribution center. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our logistics hub. The Warehouse Coordinator will be responsible for managing inventory, coordinating shipping and receiving activities, and supervising warehouse staff. You will play a key role in optimizing warehouse layout, implementing best practices for material handling, and ensuring compliance with all safety regulations. Strong leadership abilities and a proven track record in warehouse management are essential. This position requires excellent organizational skills, the ability to problem-solve, and a deep understanding of warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include developing and implementing operational procedures, managing staff schedules, and ensuring timely order fulfillment. We emphasize a culture of safety, and all team members are expected to wear appropriate PPE and follow all safety guidelines diligently. This role involves significant lifting and requires physical stamina. Experience with WMS and other logistics software is highly desirable. Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, warehousing, and distribution.
- Manage and train warehouse staff, ensuring productivity and adherence to procedures.
- Implement and enforce safety policies, ensuring proper use of PPE and safe lifting techniques.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through regular audits and system updates.
- Coordinate with transportation providers to ensure timely delivery and pickup of goods.
- Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization for maximum efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues promptly.
- Manage budget and control operational expenses.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Coordinator or in a similar supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, logistics, and inventory management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in WMS and other relevant software.
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
- Commitment to safety and promoting a safety-first culture.
