Join our bustling distribution center in Colorado Springs, Colorado, as a Distribution Center Associate. This role is crucial to our supply chain operations, ensuring the smooth flow of goods from arrival to dispatch. You will be involved in a variety of tasks, including receiving incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders, stocking shelves, picking and packing orders, and preparing shipments for transportation. A key aspect of this position is maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the warehouse, ensuring efficient operations and adherence to safety standards. We are looking for individuals who are reliable, detail-oriented, and physically capable of handling the demands of warehouse work. This includes regular lifting of items weighing up to 40 lbs and working in a dynamic logistics environment. Emphasis will be placed on following all safety protocols, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), to ensure a safe working environment for everyone. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
- Accurately stock merchandise onto shelves and into designated storage areas.
- Pick and pack customer orders with precision and efficiency.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, including labeling and staging pallets.
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization in all work areas.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently, as required.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Participate in inventory control processes and cycle counts.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to achieve daily operational goals.
- Report any safety hazards or operational issues promptly.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment is preferred.
- Proven ability to handle physical demands, including lifting up to 40 lbs repeatedly.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in task completion.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety standards and the use of PPE.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including occasional overtime, as needed.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and operational efficiency in logistics.
