We are looking for a skilled Material Handler to join our busy **logistics** hub in Grand Rapids, Michigan. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the efficient movement of materials throughout the warehouse. This includes loading and unloading trucks, transferring goods between different areas, and ensuring that inventory is stored correctly and accessible. A strong understanding of warehouse **safety** procedures and the proper use of **PPE** is paramount. The ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment is highly desirable. You will be involved in **Lifting** and moving a variety of items, so physical fitness is a must. Our Material Handlers are the backbone of our operations, ensuring a smooth workflow from receiving to shipping. You will work closely with other warehouse staff and management to meet daily targets and maintain operational excellence. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Transport materials to and from storage areas, production areas, and loading docks.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Inspect equipment for defects and report any issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to **safety** regulations.
- Ensure proper **PPE** is worn at all times.
- Assist with inventory management and stock rotation.
- Follow **logistics** and production schedules.
- Perform **Lifting** of materials up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Comply with all company **safety** policies and procedures.
