Our San Jose, California facility is looking for dedicated Order Pickers to join our growing logistics operations. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately fulfilling customer orders by retrieving specified items from warehouse shelves. Your tasks will include using handheld scanners to locate products, verifying quantities, and preparing items for shipment. This position demands precision, efficiency, and a strong commitment to workplace safety. You'll work in a fast-paced environment and must be able to maintain a high level of accuracy while meeting productivity targets. Adherence to safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is mandatory. The ideal candidate is reliable, organized, and capable of performing physical tasks, including lifting and prolonged standing. You will be an integral part of our logistics network, ensuring that our customers receive their orders correctly and on time. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products based on customer orders using pick lists or RF scanners.
- Verify item numbers, descriptions, and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Stage picked items in designated areas for packing and shipping.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or product damages to a supervisor.
- Follow all warehouse safety guidelines and wear required PPE.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, such as stocking or replenishment.
- Meet daily performance goals for picking speed and accuracy.
- Handle products with care to prevent damage during the picking process.
- Contribute to a positive and productive team environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse or order picking experience is advantageous.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to read and understand order forms and product labels.
- Understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Basic math skills for inventory verification.
- Reliability and punctuality.
Working Conditions:
- Active warehouse environment requiring constant movement.
- Requires physical exertion, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Must adhere to all safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE.
