An exciting opportunity exists at Raytheon for an engineering manager to join our semiconductor foundry engineering leadership team within the Advanced Microelectronics Solutions (AMS) Department.

The Senior Section Lead–Test and Inspect Semiconductor Fab would be responsible for directing a group of skilled process engineers to fabricate advanced microelectronic devices in accordance with various technology roadmaps in support of Raytheon Technologies business pursuits. These road maps consist of both near term efforts on the cusp of transition-to-production, as well as longer term development efforts that maintain a pipeline of innovation. The ideal candidate will possess experience in production testing and III-V semiconductor processing, with a preference for expertise in GaAs, GaN, GaSb, or acoustic devices, as well as proficiency in automated inspection and pick-and-place operations.

They will review and oversee project schedules and cost, determine team priorities, review process changes, identify and champion process improvement opportunities, work to improve process yields, and interface with operations management. They will facilitate the effective allocation of team resources in ways to support the oversight of the foundry processes, assist in identifying future capital investment needs, and foster open communication between functional teams.  Presence on the foundry floor is essential for understanding technical and logistical issues. The role requires a large degree of multitasking with attention to detail while managing priorities depending on the nature of the problems and the commitments to customers and programs.
