This is an 11-week paid learning experience during which you'll be able to connect and network with other interns and leaders within the company. What It's Like
As an Associate, Software Engineer Intern, you'll be part of a collaborative, fast-paced engineering environment where learning is built into the work. You'll work alongside experienced software engineers, product managers, and designers who are invested in your growth and success. This internship offers hands-on experience building real-world software, exposure to modern development practices, and opportunities to contribute to projects that make an impact.
What You'll Do
You'll apply your technical skills to meaningful projects while learning industry best practices. Through mentorship and guided assignments, you'll gain experience across the software development lifecycle and develop a strong foundation for a career in software engineering.
Key Responsibilities Assist in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications Write clean, readable, and well-documented code under the guidance of senior engineers Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback to improve code quality Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions Debug issues and help improve system performance and reliability Learn and apply modern development tools, frameworks, and methodologies (e.g., Agile, CI/CD) Contribute ideas to improve products, processes, and engineering practices
What It Takes Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field Basic knowledge of one or more programming languages (such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or C++) Familiarity with data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming concepts Interest in learning new technologies and solving technical problems Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment Eagerness to learn, take feedback, and grow as a software engineer
Minimum Qualifications At least 18 years of age Legally authorized to work in the United States Must be actively enrolled in a Bachelors or Graduate degree program Employees of T-Mobile or Metro by T-Mobile are ineligible for Internships
Employer does not sponsor work visas for this position. Note that this also applies to individuals who are students in F-1 status who desire sponsorship after they complete their education.
Relocation assistance may be provided to program participants who reside more than 50 miles from the internship location.
Intern wages range from $26/hour to $47/hour. The successful candidate's actual pay will be based on education/STEM vs non-STEM designation.
