We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Receiving Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in Fort Worth, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of all incoming shipments. This position is crucial to maintaining the integrity of our inventory and ensuring a smooth flow of goods into the warehouse. You will be the first point of contact for deliveries, verifying contents against purchase orders and other documentation. A keen eye for detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to safety are essential for success. This role offers a great opportunity to grow within the logistics industry and contribute to a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments from various carriers.
- Verify the accuracy of incoming goods against purchase orders, invoices, and packing slips.
- Inspect goods for damage or discrepancies and report any issues immediately.
- Tag and label incoming inventory accurately.
- Enter receiving data into the warehouse management system (WMS) promptly.
- Stage received goods for put-away or distribution.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
- Collaborate with other warehouse departments to ensure efficient operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in receiving, inventory, or warehouse operations preferred.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including moderate Lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Understanding of basic Safety practices in a warehouse environment.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
