Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly organized Inventory Control Specialist to join our advanced logistics center in Indianapolis, Indiana. This role is essential for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory, which is critical for efficient operations and customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for implementing and overseeing inventory control procedures, conducting audits, and resolving discrepancies. A keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of inventory management systems are key to success.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain inventory control procedures.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure data accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve all inventory discrepancies promptly.
  • Analyze inventory levels and recommend adjustments to optimize stock.
  • Manage inventory accuracy in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Oversee the proper handling and storage of all inventory items.
  • Coordinate with other departments to resolve inventory-related issues.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Contribute to process improvements within the logistics operations.
  • May involve lifting and moving materials up to 30 pounds.
  • Generate reports on inventory status, movement, and accuracy for management.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in inventory control or management within a warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and lead initiatives.
  • Knowledge of inventory best practices and logistics principles.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks as needed, including occasional lifting.
  • Familiarity with safety procedures and the use of PPE.
