We are seeking a dedicated Distribution Center Associate to join our team in Richmond, Virginia. In this crucial role, you will contribute to the seamless operation of our logistics hub, handling a variety of tasks including receiving, stocking, order picking, and packing. Your efficiency and accuracy are key to ensuring our customers receive their orders promptly and correctly. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments against order documents.
- Stock shelves and storage areas accurately, maintaining an organized warehouse.
- Pick products based on order lists, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Pack items securely for shipment, using appropriate materials and methods.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, safely.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and assist with inventory management.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Wear and properly use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
- Assist in loading trucks for outgoing shipments, supporting the overall logistics process.
- Perform tasks requiring lifting of products up to 50 pounds.
- Follow all instructions from supervisors to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
- Experience with operating warehouse equipment is beneficial.
- Understanding of basic logistics principles.
- Willingness to follow safety procedures and use PPE.
