We are looking for a dedicated Picker/Packer to join our dynamic warehouse team in Detroit, Michigan. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. Your responsibilities will include picking items from inventory, carefully packing them for shipment, and preparing orders for dispatch. This position is crucial to our logistics operations, requiring a blend of speed, accuracy, and attention to detail. We are committed to maintaining a safe workplace, and all employees are expected to follow strict Safety protocols and utilize required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The role involves regular physical activity, including significant Lifting and standing for long periods. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products based on order tickets or electronic lists.
- Inspect items for damage and ensure quality before packing.
- Pack items securely and appropriately for shipping, selecting the correct packaging materials.
- Label packages accurately and prepare them for carrier pickup.
- Maintain efficient workflow to meet production targets.
- Adhere to all warehouse Safety rules and regulations, including the use of PPE.
- Keep workstation and surrounding areas clean and organized.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment as needed.
- Contribute to the overall smooth functioning of the logistics department.
- Communicate any issues or concerns to supervisors promptly.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a Picker/Packer or in a similar warehouse role is advantageous.
- Capability to perform considerable Lifting of various items.
- Understanding of basic warehouse logistics.
- Focus on Safety and adherence to procedures.
- Good manual dexterity and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
